Volunteer Engagement Summit 2025

Join us at the Summit!

Join us on August 28 at the Lincoln Center for the 2025 Volunteer Engagement Summit! This free event is open to the public and packed with opportunities. Learn about volunteerism, explore City jobs and volunteer opportunities. Volunteers and those interested in giving back can learn how volunteering enhances careers, deepens community impact, and promotes inclusivity. If you're curious about volunteering with the City but aren’t sure where to start, the Volunteer Resource Fair is your go-to place to find the perfect fit. City staff will be available to discuss opportunities and help you get involved.

The Volunteer Engagement Summit is our chance to celebrate the volunteers who make Fort Collins such a great place to live. Thank you for all you do!

Volunteer Stories

We want to hear your story:

New to the Volunteer Engagement Summit is an opportunity to tell your story about volunteering. City volunteers donate their time, expertise and lifelong experiences to make City programs unique, positively impacting thousands of participants. Now we want to hear why you do it. What keeps you coming back year after year? What keeps you inspired? Stories will be posted at the Summit so others can see them and archived by Volunteer Services. Please consider sharing your story!

Urban Forest Ambassadors

Join the Urban Forest Ambassadors and gain hands-on experience while making a positive impact on your community!

Every Friday in September from 9–11 a.m., our volunteer team partners with the City of Fort Collins Forestry arborist crew to prune young street trees. This effort not only helps keep our streets safe and beautiful, but also offers a fantastic opportunity to get outside, meet others, and learn a valuable, practical skill.

Whether you're passionate about trees or simply curious about tree care, we’d love to have you join us.
