Parks & Rec Month: Thanks For Joining Us!

July was a month to remember as we celebrated Parks & Rec Month in Fort Collins! From the Independence Day Community Celebration to our fun-filled Kids in the Park event, we loved seeing the community come together to recreate and spend time in our beautiful parks. Throughout the month, community members joined in on scavenger hunts at The Farm at Lee Martinez Park, dipped their toes into new recreation activities at Edora Pool Ice Center (EPIC), spent quality time outside with family and much more.

Thank you for building and playing together with us this Parks & Rec Month – Fort Collins is stronger, more vibrant and truly connected because of you!

Rooted in Community Tree Sale

The City is offering 1,000 locally grown trees for just $25 each through the Rooted in Community Tree Sale (formerly known as the Community Canopy Program). Fort Collins residents can purchase up to two trees per household and help grow our city's urban forest!

The sale starts at 8 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 11. Trees can be reserved through WebTrac and are expected to sell out quickly. Ensure you have an easy checkout process by creating or updating your account online now. Also be sure that your home address is updated in your account - it must be within the Fort Collins Growth Management Area in order to make your purchase.

Strategic Trails Plan Adoption

Over the last year, staff worked alongside community members to identify gaps in our trail system and create a road map for maintaining and expanding trails in Fort Collins. Newly adopted by Council, the Strategic Trails Plan sets an ambitious framework for ensuring neighborhood connectivity and increasing trail use among those who have historically had limited access.
