Help us bring new life to the Canyon, Magnolia, Sherwood intersection as we refresh one of Fort Collins’ signature asphalt art installations on October 8th from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm! Join FC Moves and artist Jess Bean in repainting this community space with a new design featuring imagery in consultation with the Arapaho Tribe (Hinono’eiteen). More details to come. 

Volunteers will work side by side with the artist and project team to put paint to pavement, so come ready to roll! We’ll provide hand and eye protection, along with snacks, water, and shade. Volunteers should be prepared for physical activity including bending, kneeling and stooping for much of their shift.

No artistic experience necessary, just a willingness to help create a community canvas. This opportunity is open to volunteers age 15 and older.

Volunteer at Pumpkins on Parade at The Gardens on Spring Creek. This fun-for-all-ages celebration of Halloween and the harvest will feature our annual Community Carved Pumpkin Contest, hundreds of pumpkins and gourds arranged across The Gardens in artistic displays and fun and festive activities for the whole family!

Although many event shifts are filled, we still need lots of help with setup during the day on both Wednesday, October 22nd and Thursday, October 23. This includes lifting and distributing straw bales, distributing pumpkins across grounds, carving pumpkins and assembling pumpkin displays.

Treatsylvania is the perfect opportunity! We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help make this event a blast for everyone. If you're 13 or older, we'd love to have you join us! 

Volunteer Shifts:

Friday, October 24th: 4:00-7:30 pm

Saturday, October 25th: 4:00-7:30 pm

Sunday, October 26th: 12:00-3:30 pm & 4:00-7:30 pm

Please note that volunteers must commit to staying for the entire shift to keep the event running smoothly.

Join the City of Fort Collins as a volunteer and play a key role in supporting both our TransFort and IT teams! This is a hands-on opportunity to dive into the world of technology and public service, where you’ll assist with preventative maintenance on vital equipment and help keep our systems running smoothly. Volunteers will also contribute to asset management efforts—ensuring our technology inventory is tracked, organized, and ready to serve the community. This position is perfect for someone who loves problem-solving, wants to learn more about IT operations, and enjoys making a tangible difference in how our city delivers services every day.
