De-escalation Training

Join us for a continuing education opportunity! On January 20th, from 4:00 to 5:00 pm at The Lincoln Center, Tyler Davis will teach a de-escalation training session.

Knowing how to effectively de-escalate tense situations is an essential skill for anyone in a public-facing role. This interactive seminar will provide practical strategies for recognizing early warning signs of conflict, managing emotional responses, and navigating challenging interactions with calm and confidence. Participants will hear about real-world scenarios and walk away with a toolbox of tips and tricks to defuse difficult situations, maintain safety, and preserve positive relationships—even under pressure. Whether you're interacting with other volunteers, working with the public, or leading a team, this session will equip you with the communication tools you need to keep situations from boiling over.
