Election Results Will Bring a New Mayor and Several New City Councilmembers

In November, Fort Collins voters elected a new Mayor and City Councilmembers in Districts 1, 3 and 5. Those new Councilmembers will take their oaths of office on Jan. 13, 2026. This election successfully rolled out ranked choice voting. Among many things the voters approved, a sales tax was extended that provides funding specifically for the capital needs of Affordable Housing.
