Artist Opportunity! Under Pressure: 2026 National Printmaking Exhibition

The Lincoln Center Art Gallery will participate in Colorado’s Month of Printmaking (Mo’Print), March 6–April 24, 2026 by presenting Under Pressure, a nationally juried exhibit of artworks consisting primarily of any printmaking media (relief printing, lithograph, silkscreen, intaglio, and monoprints). Selections for the exhibition will be made by our Guest Juror, Johnny Plastini.

Johnny Plastini received his BA in interdisciplinary studio art from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and received his MFA in printmaking from the Tyler School of Art and Architecture at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He currently is an Associate Professor and Area Coordinator of Printmaking at Colorado State University (CSU), Fort Collins, as well as Co-Director of the Center for Artist Books and Inclusive Narratives at CSU. Professor Plastini has presented workshops on printmaking, papermaking, and book arts processes and exhibited his works extensively at various museums, conferences, non-profit spaces, art fairs, and galleries, both nationally and internationally.

CASH AWARDS: $1,500 in total, with a $750 Grand Prize award.

Join the New Arts and Culture Board!

Applications are open now for the City of Fort Collins new Arts and Culture Board. This board will support the Arts and Culture Department and help strengthen our creative community. It combines, and expands, the Art in Public Places and Cultural Resources Boards. We are looking for 9 new members. If you are passionate about arts, culture, and civic engagement, please consider volunteering.

Applications to serve on one of the City’s boards and commissions are open until noon, Friday, January 9!

The City’s 23 boards and commissions are comprised of community member volunteers who advise City Council on issues related to housing, transportation, water, human services and more. Anyone who is passionate about the Fort Collins community, interested in a board or commission’s focus, and resides within the Growth Management Area is encouraged to apply.

Join us for the next Creative Foundations Workshop

Join us for the next Creative Foundations Workshop, “Your Artist Toolkit: Media and Promo Assets Made Easy,” designed for artists, creative business owners, and arts organizations looking to strengthen their promotional materials!

This hands-on workshop will help you create press and promo assets that are ready to use anytime with minimal updates. Participants will rotate through three interactive stations focused on media and electronic press kits (EPKs), professional headshots, and storytelling through artist statements. Short presentations and guided discussion will be offered in small groups throughout the evening. The first half-hour will be for networking and sorting artists into groups.

Workshop Time: 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.

This workshop is geared toward individual artists, creative business owners, and/or studio tour artists. Attendance is free and light refreshments will be provided. Free artist headshot photos will also be available, so come dressed for the camera!

This series is presented by the City of Fort Collins in collaboration with the Downtown Fort Collins Creative District.

Curate Your Own Art Exhibit

The Gallery at the Center for Creativity is open and ready to host your next art exhibit. The newly renovated space is designed to showcase your creative works. Housed in what was the original 1904 Carnegie Library reading room, the gallery features arched windows, historic elements, and original pine flooring. 

The gallery is available to rent from one week up to three weeks to show both 2D and 3D art (pedestals are available). You can rent the full gallery or it can be divided into three smaller spaces.

Public Gallery hours are 12:00pm–6:00pm, Wednesday-Sunday, when an exhibit is installed.

Call for Entries: City Hall

Works by David Theissen

The City of Fort Collins is accepting submissions for artworks to hang in the City Hall Lobby, Offices, and Meeting Rooms. Submissions are reviewed quarterly and artwork is replaced every four months. Selected artists receive a $70-100 honorarium for exhibiting their work with the City. Artist David Theissen's artwork is shown here outside the City Attorney's Office.

This call is open to artists living within the City of Fort Collins Growth Management Area. To see if you qualify, check the Growth Management Area boundary map.

To apply you will be asked to submit your contact info, a short artists statement and artist bio, and 4-6 photos of your artwork. If you have any questions, please direct them to Kristen Vohs, Visual Arts Assistant, at kvohs@fortcollins.gov.
