Route Changes Coming in August

Transfort will host an Open House for community members to learn more about the Optimization Plan and August route changes.

  • Thursday, June 11, 4 - 6 p.m.
  • Downtown Transit Center, 250 N. Mason Street

Most route service changes are scheduled to begin August 17, 2026. Routes 14 and 18, which require significant realignment and new bus stops, are anticipated to change in 2027.

Share the Road: Bike Safety and Buses

June is Colorado Bike Month! Whether you're commuting, running errands or riding for fun, keep these safety tips in mind when sharing the road with city buses:

  • Bus operators have large blind spots and may not always be able to see bicyclists. If you can't see the bus driver's side mirrors, the driver likely can't see you.
  • When passing a bus, allow extra space and never pass on the right while a bus is stopped or pulling into a bus stop. Bus doors open on the right side for passengers to enter and exit.
  • Ride with traffic and use the street, including when crossing intersections. Take the lane when needed to stay visible and predictable.
  • Watch for buses pulling into the bike lane to make right turns, since buses need extra space to complete the turn safely.
  • Signal your turns and stops, use lights and reflectors at night.

Want to learn how to combine biking and transit? Stop by our Bike to Work Day station on Wednesday, June 24, from 6:30–9:30 a.m. at the South Transit Center to learn how to safely load and unload your bike using the bus bike racks. View the Bike to Work Day station map.
