Free Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event

Join us for the free residential Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) collection event! HHW consists of everyday products that can present a threat or unreasonable risk to people or the environment. These items can be corrosive, ignitable, toxic or reactive. Our upcoming HHW event is an easy way to dispose of this unwanted waste.

  • 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sat., May 16.

A Little Bit of Murder, a Whole Lot of Jazz - Chicago Comes to Town

The national tour of Chicago returns to The Lincoln Center by popular demand April 24-26. Construction Impacts This Month

Here's what to expect on roads and trails in Fort Collins:

    • Lane shifts and directional closures continue on Lemay between Horsetooth and Harmony until June 30.
    • Trilby remains closed between Lemay and Timberline until July 31.
    • Trilby remains closed at College until September.
    • Mountain Vista remains closed between Timberline and Giddings until April 30.
    • Lane shifts continue on Harmony between McMurry and Timberline while crews work on the Power Trail Underpass project beneath Harmony.

    New Safety Improvements on Transfort Buses

    In response to community feedback, the City is investing in multiple safety measures on Transfort buses to create a safer, more welcoming system for riders and operators. Riders may see more police officers and Transfort service officers, in addition to new signage, cameras and other security features.

    Don't Spring a Leak - Fix One!

    Last year, Fort Collins Utilities leak notification system detected about 22,000 customer leaks. Leaks waste an average of 70 gallons per hour and are most often found in toilets and irrigation systems. Fixing small household leaks can help save big money on water bills.

    Utilities water customers can receive free leak and high-use alerts through the MyWater portal. Customers can also view personalized water-saving tips, water use history and water utility updates.
