Don't miss the City's Independence Day Community Celebration this weekend!

Toast to America's birthday with rockin' live music, fun activities for the whole family, fireworks and more. Plus, special activities celebrating America’s 250th and Colorado’s 150th anniversaries, including a Field of Honor and Liberty 250 Exhibit, historical reenactors and a touch-a-truck area.

All fireworks are illegal in Fort Collins — even sparklers and snakes can seriously injure people, scare pets, and impact neighbors and veterans sensitive to loud noises. Anyone can report illegal fireworks in Fort Collins online.

Want the epic boss-level fireworks experience instead? Head to the City's July 4 fireworks show at City Park and leave the explosives to the pros.

Play smart, and celebrate safely!

July's biggest traffic impacts:

• Westbound Mulberry will close between College and Riverside for repaving July 6-10.
• Eastbound Mulberry will close between Riverside and College for repaving July 13-17.
• Lane shifts and directional closures continue on Lemay between Horsetooth and Harmony for water line replacements.
• Trilby remains closed between Lemay and Timberline for a bridge replacement, and at College while crews rebuild the intersection.
• Lane shifts continue on Harmony between Lemay and Timberline for work on the Power Trail Underpass project beneath Harmony.

Each July, the City celebrates the powerful role parks and recreation play in our community. Join the Parks & Rec Month celebration by attending events throughout July, including free days at recreation centers, a golf course movie night and our annual Kids in the Park event.

This summer, FoCo POP (Parks and Outdoor Performances) is bringing live performances to parks and streets throughout Fort Collins. Designed for all ages, this free series welcomes residents to gather, connect and experience the arts in our vibrant City outdoor spaces!

This summer's lineup features exclusively Colorado-based artists. Bring a blanket or camping chair, pack a picnic and enjoy a fun-filled evening of creativity, culture and community.

It’s time to plan your Neighborhood Night Out: Mark your calendars for Aug. 4 and register your event!

Community members host their own events, usually between about 5-8 p.m., allowing neighbors to connect after the workday in a family-friendly setting.

The relationships built through Neighborhood Night Out help create a safer, more resilient community.

Fort Collins does not spray for nuisance mosquitoes or on a pre-determined schedule. Instead, spraying takes place at the recommendation of the County when certain West Nile infection thresholds are crossed. If and when that happens, the City of Fort Collins sends notifications to people who have opted in to receive them.

Looking for easy ways to save water, electricity and money on utility bills? Join Fort Collins Utilities for a free public session on practical no-cost and low-cost conservation tips. We’ll cover:

• Everyday energy and water-saving strategies
• Rebates and programs

Join us for Kids in the Park, a special day for community connection, exploring recreation opportunities and spending time outdoors:

Co-presented with Elevations Credit Union, Kids in the Park features hands-on activities, lawn games, food trucks, live music, bounce houses, touch-a-truck experiences, giant bubbles and more.

In honor of Independence Day, all City offices will be closed on Friday, July 3.

All recreation facilities, the Gardens on Spring Creek and the Museum of Discovery will remain open July 3.

On Saturday, July 4, City Park Pool will be open from noon to 4 p.m. All other recreation facilities, the Gardens on Spring Creek and the Museum of Discovery will be closed. Transfort will be running holiday service.
