A New Name. The Same Commitment. An Even Clearer Mission.

We're excited to share that our office is now the City of Fort Collins Economic Development Department.

While our name has changed, our values have not. The City of Fort Collins was built on the principles of the Triple Bottom Line (TBL), balancing economic vitality, environmental stewardship, and social well-being. those tenets will continue to guide how we approach every partnership, project, and opportunity.

So why the change?

Because we want our mission to be unmistakable: Fort Collins is open for business and remains one of the best places to live, work, innovate, and invest.

Economic development today is about much more than attracting new companies. It's about creating the conditions for a resilient economy where entrepreneurs can launch, small businesses can grow, existing employers can expand, innovation flourishes, and residents have access to quality jobs that provide competitive waves, meaningful career pathways, and long-term economic opportunity. It signals our commitment to building an economy that supports thriving businesses, protects assets that make Fort Collins special, and creates opportunities for everyone who calls our community home.

Whether your launching a startup, growing a small business, expanding an established company, or considering Fort Collins your next investment, we're here to help.

Restaurants and Food Businesses, Help Shape a New "Go Out to Lunch Day" Campaign

The City of Fort Collins is exploring a recurring "Go Out to Lunch Day" as part of the Shop Fort Collins campaign, a community-wide effort to encourage residents and employees to dine at local restaurants on a designated day each month.

Before launching the campaign, we'd love your input. If you own or manage a restaurant or food business, please take our brief questionnaire to help us choose the best day, frequency, and approach so the campaign provides the greatest benefit to local businesses.

The questionnaire takes just a few minutes to complete. Thank you for helping us shape this new community initiative!
