Larimer County Body Art Regulatory Program

If you are in the business of tattooing, body piercing, branding, scarification, and permanent cosmetics – listen up! Larimer County Department of Health and Environment is launching a new Body Art Regulatory Program in 2026 to help ensure safe, sanitary, and professional body art practices throughout the county. The program was developed in response to community and industry needs identified through stakeholder outreach and a 2023 survey, which showed support for consistent health and safety standards.

The program is designed to protect both clients and practitioners by reducing the risk of infections, bloodborne disease transmission, and other health hazards associated with tattooing, body piercing, branding, scarification, and permanent cosmetics. Please register below for the informational webinar on October 2nd from 10am-12pm. You can also learn more and provide feedback by visiting the Larimer County Body Art Regulatory Program webpage.

Prepare Today. Protect Your Business Tomorrow.

Is your business prepared if a disaster strikes? Wildfires, floods, severe weather, power outages and other disruptions can happen with little warning. Planning ahead can help protect your employees, safeguard essential information and minimize interruptions to your business.

Free Business Preparedness Resource

The Colorado SBDC offers a free, self-paced Business Recovery and Resiliency Guide with practical tools, templates and guidance to help prepare your business for every stage of an emergency. The guide addresses:

  • Mitigation and preparedness: Identifying risks and creating a business continuity plan.
  • Response and stabilization: Managing immediate priorities, insurance claims, partnership and financial concerns.
  • Recovery and rebuilding: Evaluating operations, establishing recovery milestones and strengthening your business for the future.

Taking a few steps now can make it easier for your business to respond, recover and move forward when the unexpected happens.

Three Steps You Can Take Now

  1. Create a business grab list. Identify the essential items you would need to take if you had only minutes to evacuate. This may include devices, important documents, keys, medications, contact information and other critical business materials.
  2. Sign up for local alerts. Register for NOCO Emergency Alerts to receive emergency notifications for the locations that matter to you.
  3. Develop a continuity plan. Decide how your business will communicate with employees and customers, protect important records and equipment, maintain essential functions and resume normal operations following an interruption.
