Trash Reuse

Garden hoses should be donated (if gently used) or thrown away in the trash.

They are not recyclable and SHOULD NOT be put in recycling bins.

Garden hoses are a significant source of contamination in the recycling stream. When mixed in with other curbside recyclables and brought to the recycling sorting plant, hoses can get tangled in sorting equipment, damaging or breaking it.
