Thick, rigid paperboard tubes such as carpet roll tubes or those used for concrete should be reused or thrown away.

These tubes cannot be recycled curbside or at recycling drop-offs because they are filled with a large amount of glue making them too rigid to bend easily. They will damage recycling sorting equipment.
