Notes

USDA Plants National Database recognizes six varieties of R. trilobata, all native to the U.S. Varieties anisophylla, quinata, racemulosa, pilosissima, simplicifolia and trilobata are primarily found in the southwestern and western states. The latter three are also native to Colorado. This species is found primarily on the western slope of Colorado.


Fall color is orange-red.
