Notes

Flora of North America recognizes two varieties of R. cereum, both native to the U.S. Variety colubrinum is native to the Pacific Northwest and variety cereum is native to the western half of the U.S. including Colorado and the Fort Collins area.


Plants in the genus Ribes are important larval and adult food hosts for many of our native invertebrates.


Fruit is bright red to orange-red.
