Notes

Flora of North America recognizes three varieties of E. jamesii, all native to southwestern and southcentral portions of the U.S. Variety undulatum is native to Arizona, New Mexico and Texas, variety simplex is native to Kansas and our native, variety jamesii is native to Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas.


This is an important larval and adult food host for many of our native invertebrates.
