Colorado
Flora of North America recognizes three varieties of H. multiflora, all native to the U.S. Variety brevifolia is found in Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah. Varieties multiflora and nevadensis are both found in Colorado. Variety nevadensis is found primarily in the southwestern states and multiflora is found primarily in the Rocky Mountain states. This species belongs to the aster family which provides larval and adult food sources for many native invertebrates.
Sometimes grown as an annual, could be used in containers.
