Tolerates some flooding, will do best with winter mulch, This cultivar should live longer than the straight species.


It is unclear if this cultivar meets the City of Fort Collins definition of a “native selection”. Lobelia cardinalis is native to most of the U.S. except for the Northwest and upper Midwest states. In Colorado it occurs in a few southern and eastern counties.
