Notes

USDA Plants National Database recognizes two subspecies of O. elata, both native to the U.S. Subspecies hookeri is found only in California and subspecies hirsutussima is more widespread and can be found throughout most of the western half of the U.S.


This is an important adult food host for many of our native invertebrates.
