Strands of holiday lights can be recycled with scrap metal, even with bulbs attached. They can be brought to local scrap metal recyclers and drop-off locations listed below. Tie / bundle up the strands before recycling.
Holiday lights should not be in curbside recycling, as they can damage equipment at the recycling sorting plant.
